Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, the reasons it is used, and the limited circumstances in which another party may receive it. By continuing to use Real County Criminal History, you agree to the practices stated here.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates it. That company processes the query and supplies its results. Real County Criminal History does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email message may be kept long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It remains within the site's operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, ordinary server and analytics systems can collect basic technical information about that visit:

  • Your device's assigned IP address
  • Browser name and version
  • Operating system and general device type
  • Viewed pages and time spent on them
  • A referring website, when one is reported
  • The date and time attached to a page request

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small device files used to understand site traffic, such as popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers combine that activity into broader usage reports. A browser can block cookies, although disabling them may change how some site functions behave.

What We Do With This Data

  • Operate, maintain, and improve site performance
  • Route a submitted query to the selected search provider
  • Measure which content visitors use most
  • Diagnose errors, outages, and other technical problems
  • Support advertising that may be selected by interest

No Criminal-Record Data on File

Real County Criminal History does not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes directions to records held by the Real County sheriff and courts, the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into third-party records or consumer reports, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by that provider's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices rather than this policy. Review those terms before running a query because this site does not control them.

Links to Other Websites

Links can lead to the Real County government, court portals, Texas agencies, legal information resources, or outside tools. After leaving this site, the destination's privacy policy applies. Read it before providing personal information.

Advertising providers may use their own systems to recognize activity across sites and choose targeted ads. Their tracking is not operated by Real County Criminal History.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. It may be available in limited form to:

  • A search provider that receives a query submitted to its tool
  • Analytics vendors measuring site use and technical performance
  • Advertising networks serving content on these pages
  • A government or law-enforcement body acting under a valid legal order

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable, standard security measures are used to protect collected data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so the site cannot promise that unauthorized access or a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If such information is identified, a request may be made to have it removed.

Your Data Rights

Depending on a user's residence and the law that applies, privacy and consumer-protection rights may include remedies under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Business and Commerce Code Chapter 541. Subject to legal exceptions, a user may be able to:

  • Confirm whether personal data is processed and request access
  • Ask that inaccurate personal data be corrected
  • Request deletion where the law provides that right
  • Opt out of specified forms of data processing when applicable

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised as site practices or legal requirements change. An updated version will appear on this page with its new effective date.
